Source-Odyssey in Brief

When the  Source-Odyssey  project was initiated, I got involved with that in an advisory capacity.  Mike (far left) had agreed to initially supervise the production of the Source, and the late Steven Lamb (left) and Jack Lawson handled the sales. Staff from the parent company, D Lamb & Co Ltd, did machining and finishing work, and there was a production manager, but he was more interested in his own ideas than the practicalities of sorting out production. Eventually, he went.

Susan Black (later Stephen's wife, far right) was also involved in production, with Trevor Lee,  and Rosanna, (right) Jack's then wife, was in admin.

After D.Lamb & Co Ltd went into liquidation in 1992, loans to Source-Odyssey Ltd from D.Lamb &Co were called in and as a consequence the company folded. I bought all the remaining arm parts from the Receiver, and made arms until most of the bits were used up. The turntable parts went to Northern Ireland and to date I have no information on what, if any, currently remain. I do know there are no motors, as Papst ceased making them a number of years ago.
