The SO Deck
The S-O was the last version of the Source. The wooden plinth was the same as the Source, as was the motor, base plate and the top plate. The top plate was covered with a bookbinding leatherette. The sub-chassis was MDF.
The platter was formed from a ring of phosphor-bronze which sat on a sub-platter which had an extended flange to hold the ring and a turned diameter for the belt, which was the same as the Source.
The bearing spindle, with a recess for a ball, was pressed into the sub-platter, and the bearing housing was similar to that of the Source.
